What This Adds Up To
The bigger accomplishment is that these are no longer just separate spreadsheets and documents. I have gradually built a branch operating system around five areas: Member follow-up, sales and opportunity management, operational controls, Team Member development, and leadership reporting.
Many of these tools also connect to each other. The Membership Follow Up Tracker manages post-opening relationships, the Lending Leads Tracker manages lending opportunities, the Rate Exception Tracker manages exceptions and approvals, the Email Approval Tool standardizes communication, the Transaction Limits Matrix provides operational guidance, and the Morning Business Brief brings the results together for daily leadership.
Several of these tools have also moved beyond Chino-specific convenience. The Email Approval Tool, Transaction Limits Matrix, Rate Exception process, Business Continuity resources, and SharePoint resources are the type of projects that can scale across other branches or departments.
From a project management standpoint, these projects follow a consistent pattern: identify an operational problem, define the process, build a usable solution, test it with actual Team Members, collect feedback, correct issues, and keep improving. That is a real, working body of project management experience.
